FLORIMOND CHU
3D DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

OVERVIEW
This section is a summary of my portfolio. It contains a video of my professional work, as well as a selection of projects that I have worked on.

Based on the speed demon in Grim Fandango (computer game), Glottis is a lover of fast cars (and wine). This is my interpretation of the lovable character, which I hope to develop into a toy. Modelled in 3ds Max and rendered in Keyshot.

CoSpace Explorers is a mobile game built on the Unity Engine to teach coding and robotics to Primary and Secondary School students. By controlling and programing a robot vehicle, students learn about coding and gain computational thinking skills. I worked on this project as a Design Project Officer in the Robotics & Maker Academy (RMA) at Singapore Polytechnic. My role in this project was to design, model and texture the 3d art assets for the game.

The Robotics & Maker Academy (RMA) organises events every quarter to engage students to learn about robotics and coding technology. Publicity material, in the form of videos, web, social media, and print, were produced to support these events. My role was to conceptualize, design, and produce these items.

Science Fiction game character based on a concept inspired by the song Ebony and Ivory. The character is a space mercenary, with an artificial leg that hides a concealed weapon. Modelled in Zbrush, presentation images created in Photoshop. In this project, I came up with the character concept and design, and brought the concept to life in the form of the 3D game model.

I designed this series of Minifigures to celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday (SG50). This Minifigure series is designed to closely follow the aesthetic of existing Lego Minigure collections but with a distinctively Singaporean theme. The Minifigures are modelled and rendered in Zbrush, and the final presentation is composited in Photoshop.
