FLORIMOND CHU
3D DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In-game screen capture of the main exploration vehicle. The game allows players to select different types of vehicles, and equip them with a variety of items for different missions.

This is the primary vehicle used in the game. The structure of the vehicle is similar to a simple educational robot like the mBot - It has two independently driven wheels, with a support roller in front.

The Dragonfly is one of the land vehicles in the game. The design of the Dragonfly is based on formula one racing cars.

Based on the design of the main vehicle, the submarine was designed for the underwater exploration. While it was not playable in the main game, it was available as a playable vehicle in its own spin-off mini game.

Marine planet level - Giantic concrete megastructures rise out of the sea, and people thrive on the platforms and containers that are built on these concrete pillars. This will be the training level for the early parts of the game.

This is a guardian statue that was used as a prop in the underground alien level. I reference statues from archaeology to create these alien guardian statue.

Concept image of the spaceship's garage. In the game, the vehicle was given a larger scale relative to the garage because the game designer desired a more cosy and personal interior.
CoSpace Explorers (2015 - 2017)
CoSpace Explorers is a mobile game built on the Unity Engine to teach coding and robotics to Primary and Secondary School students. By controlling and programing a robot vehicle, students learn about coding and gain computational thinking skills. I worked on this project as a Design Project Officer in the Robotics & Maker Academy (RMA) at Singapore Polytechnic. My role in this project was to design, model and texture the 3d art assets for the game.
